ABOUT DUNTON CINE DRIVING PLATES:
What are Driving Plates? They are stock footage of roads, motorways, streets, etc - to be used for the background of your shoot when filming in a virtual studio, or for VFX / greenscreen. Driving Plates have been used for many decades, dating all the way back to the 1920s. Technology has advanced considerably since then of course, with gyro stabilised heads and multi camera tracking used to film plates, all to create a smooth image.
Our stock footage of driving plates are shot low down, at the driver’s eye level, ensuring correct perspective in the finished product and to create more believable scenes.
Our library of stock footage driving plates includes 360 plates shot in various conditions, locations, and for all sorts of various vehicles. For more details on each clip please either refer to the specs listed on the driving plate listing, or contact a member of staff who can assist you further.
In cases where a reflection plate is not available for a set of driving plates please contact us and we may recommend a suitable “generic” reflection plate that can be used in tandem with the other stock plates.
For custom driving plates, shot just for you, please contact us - many films require footage more specific than jsut something generic, with specific actions, routes, and driving styles suited uniquely to your production.
