What is Simulated Travel?
Simulated Travel is the nickname given to the method of filming driving scenes for Film & Television.
Since it is impractical for many reasons to have actors actually driving while acting (health and safety, time, unpredicatable traffic, etc) it is far better to Simulate their travel. Our method of achieving this involves setting up projection screens showing the moving road around the car, in combination with specialised lighting, reflective elements and rain / wind to achieve the ultimate realistic setting, while still retaining the control of a in-studio shoot.
Cost-Efficient: Our flexibility in set-ups allow us to service both giant blockbuster films, as well as proudly support lower budget productions, and our streamlined workflow allows us to offer far better rates than a common LED Volume Stage or a Low Loader.
Reliable: Everything is captured in-camera, eliminating risk of difficult and potentially expensive post-production days.
Logistics: Easy - we come to you, both nationwide and internationally. Having worked in over 12 different countries, our setup packs down into a truck, and our expert crews will set it up in whatever studio you are already shooting in.

HOW WE DO IT
Most professionals in the industry are familiar with using Back-Projection and Volume Stages for Simulated Travel, so by combining the best of both worlds we are able to deliver premium visuals, with a flexible workflow, at lower prices than ever before…
…and have been proudly doing so for over 30 years.
We use either Back-Projection or LED Walls in combination with seperate Active Lighting Channels, POV screens, Reflection screens, and practical effects to create the most realistic Simulated Travel scenes possible, while still allowing you to fine tune every individual component to your visual liking.
APPLICATIONS
Our set-up is very flexible - allowing us to raise our car back projection screens and projectors into the air in order to cover any angles needed - this process means that we can apply back projection to a huge variety of vehicles including (but not limited to):
